A Row of Purls opened July 4, 2006....We are family owned speciality yarn shop
with a wonderful family atmosphere. Barbara took her 84 year young mother to a
knitting class. However Barbara was the one who fell in love with knitting. She
wanted to share this awesome hobby with the rest of the world. A Row of Purls
began as Barbara prepared for retirement. She offered to her daughter Sheri a job
of managing the yarn shop as a way to keep her newborn baby, Cheri Layne close
to her. Cheri Layne is now 4 years old. Many customers come in just to see her.
Sheri loves knitting as much as her mother.
A Row of Purls has knitting and crochet supplies. We carry Addi Turbo and Nutura needles, Serendipity knitting needles and scarf pin Kollage Square straignt and circular needles. We also carry Susan Bates and Clover knitting needles. We have yarns such as Cascade, Brown Sheep, Berroco, Queensland Collection, Malabrigo, Noro, Debbie Bliss, Universal Yarn. An awesome bamboo yarn from Yarn Cloud,and many more yarns available. We have yarns made from organaic cotton, corn, soybean, milk,..yes milk. We have feltable yarns and washable wool yarns. You must come in the see our beautiful yarns and finished projects. Some customers come weekly to fondle our yarns. Friday nights we sit, knit, eat homemade desserts, drink specialty coffees, while we enjoy lots of talking and laughing. "Our Yarn Will Put You In Stitches" Here at A Row of Purls we are a family.
